Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to Panto we go!!

Rehearsals are going really well from Hang of the Gaol - only just over 2 weeks until opening night, it's going to be a great show. We have a fabulous set designer who is working wonders and costumes and props are shaping up nicely too.

Once I've finished at the Brockley Jack I'll be moving on to rehearsals for a panto tour in December before going skiing over the new year which I can't wait for - time to enjoy a well earned break!

First Pro Job!

I had a fantastic time auditioning for Rolling Sky Productions' performance of "Hang of the Gaol" last week; what a great team.  I was extremely delighted to be offered the role of Angela and I'm very excited to be part of this production which will be on at The Brockley Jack in South East London from Sept 27 - Oct 15th.  Hope to see you there!

I'm also waiting for confirmation of dates on a short TV series which I will be able to do if it doesn't clash with Hang of the Gaol.

Hello World!!!

Hello world!  So now that I've graduated from my Advanced Performance Diploma, I thought it was about time I get myself a website come bloggy type thingy.  So here I am.  At the moment I'm trying to line up as many auditions and castings as possible; of course ideally I'll get the job but realistically it's all great experience and a fantastic networking opportunity - the old saying "it's not what you know, it's who you know" has already become apparent and I've only been looking for work for about a month now!

So a little bit about me - don't want to bore you all silly.....  I worked in the corporate world for about 15 years as a PA and then Project Manager whilst doing lots of amateur dramatics and singing lessons.  A couple of years ago I decided that enough was enough and I couldn't do the 9 - 5 anymore (or what was usually 9 - 7!!) and needed to try to work as an Actor so I threw in the towel at work and started part time courses whilst temping before moving onto a full time Advanced Performance Diploma which I loved.  I act, dance and sing; I love a bit of jazz hands but also appreciate the exceptionally hard work it takes to be an actor.  Here's hoping I can put that hard work into practice some time soon.
